Position: System/Network Administrator

Description:
We are looking to hire a contract system and network administrator to help design, build and support our burgeoning development and production infrastructure. We are global ISV with partners and customers around the world. We focus on security, multimedia and e-commerce in both grid/cloud and and client-server configurations. The system/network admin experienced in all aspects of design, implementation, administration, security, physical and logical deployment, scaling, and monitoring. Major support platforms include Linux, Windows, OS X and Virtual Machine environments across physical and hosted hardware. In addition, the candidate must have hands-on, command-line experience and skills in managing web, DNS, mail, backup/failover, firewalls, user and asset management, automation and logging/reporting. Extra points go towards experience with Subversion/Maven development environments, web applications/services, cloud/grid computing, VMware, multimedia streaming and various software release and test automation applications.
Skills Summary:
Education: BS CS/IT/IS required, certifications desired, but experience trumps paper
Skills Required:
5+ years experience as system/network administrator on Linux, Solaris, Windows 2XXX Server and OSX Server, VMWare
-requirements, architecture, design, implementation, administration, scripting, security, physical and logical deployment, scaling, monitoring and support
-hands-on, command-line experience and skills in managing web, DNS, mail, backup/failover, firewalls, user and asset management, automation and logging/reporting
Other Skills Desired: Subversion/Maven development environments, web applications/services, cloud/grid computing, VMware, multimedia streaming and various software release and test automation applications, Tomcat, Apache, etc.
Project Experience: Hands-on experience with large-scale e-commerce/gaming/multimedia applications, secure applications, mobile applications and .
Travel:
Position may require a valid passport and ability to travel overseas (< 5%). Must be willing to travel domestically (periodically) for design summits, install-fests, QA sessions, customer/partner events and trade shows.
Engagement/Compensation:
3-month, full-time initial/renewable contract; rate negotiable - extremely competitive based on experience.
